This DAW chair was first designed in 1948 and presented agh the New York museum of Modern Art competition ‘low cost furniture design’. In the latest version made of polypropylene, the DAW armchairs now offer even greater sitting comfort. Vitra has retained Charles and Ray Eames’ idea of combining a comfortable seat with different bases, in order to achieve the widest use for the chair. With various bases, the Eames plastic armchair is suitable for different settings: from home, cafes, offices, lobbies, etc..
